-About Polygon Design-

 

Polygon Design is a site intended to hold my 2D digital and traditional art work. Since 1999, I have worked on numerous amateur game modifications for engines such as Half-Life, Quake II, Unreal Tournament 2003/4, and more. In addition to these projects, I have also worked on commercial titles such as:

- Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45

- Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

- Killing Floor The Game

- Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad

My primary interest as a digital interest is 2D related work, specifically character textures, weapon textures, as well as environmental/vehicle material. The theme of my art from the beginning has generally been military themed, especially subject matter dealing with World War Two as well as other modern military conflicts. My art has greatly benefitted from my other strong passion, collecting American/German/Russian uniforms, field gear, and firearms. While I was working on Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 for instance, I also served as an historical advisor and was responsible for uniform and field gear authenticity in addition to creating design documents detailing what each soldier would be carrying depending on his class.

In addition to 2D texturing, I am also currently developing my abilities in 3D modeling and unwrapping. Presently, I am working in producing low poly models as well as doing a little high poly material as well. When new pieces are finished, I will be displaying them in my Gallery section.

The traditional art I do also falls very much into the same vein as my digital art, typically revolving around a military theme of some sort with a great deal of variety in the time period and subject matter. I also enjoy painting figures and doing portraits. While much of my time is devoted to the digital work I produce regularly, I do find pleasure in stepping back from the mouse and keyboard and completing a new drawing or painting.

Lastly, my status right now is that of a freelance artist eager to work on game projects with any theme in mind. I'm available for paid contract work at the moment, and if you have a need for an artist with a special eye for detail who works quickly and produces quality, I am ready to serve.
